梅森探案

「大家都知道，一定是出不全的。我近期比較有系統地作個記錄，已經收藏的有 20 冊；再參看網上資料，知已出版而我沒有的，一共 3 冊。此外那共約 60 個故事，有的我見在簡體字版中包含了，也有的有其它出版社推出過，但「遠景版」的，應該就只是這 23 冊吧？」[1]。

「1984 年遠景出版社出版由三毛主編，徐秀美封面繪圖的阿嘉莎•克莉絲蒂全集，是早期重量級的推理套書。1992 年再版，內文文字放大，但紙質印刷上比不上初版精美。遠景後續還出版賈德諾的梅森探案、柯賴二氏探案等套書，梅森探案並未出全。後來月房子出版社也曾出過幾本梅森探案，但有些與遠景版重複，集數也沒有遠景多，這套書迄今無完整的出版品，可說是一憾事。梅森探案雖為美國作品，但早期有些譯作並非由英語譯成中文，而是拿日譯本翻譯成中文，從英語、日語，再到中文，繞了一圈，書中語意已經有段距離，這是早期譯作比較可惜的地方。」[3]。
